Adopt

Adoptions are processed at the Animal Shelter at 23 Poor Farm Rd., Kearneysville, WV during our normal business hours which are 11 AM to 4 PM Wednesday through Saturday. However, with prior arrangements with the shelter staff, other arrangements may be possible.

Additionally, we have cats in residence at our adoption partner, PETCO, in Ranson.

They are located at 217 Oak Lee Drive, Ranson, WV 25438.

To adopt from AWS, you will need to complete an adoption questionnaire. The staff will review the questionnaire with you and conduct a personal interview with you. We reserve the right to conduct a home visit prior to approving your adoption application and placing the animal with you. Personal identification will be required. We accept cash or check for the adoption fees.

Adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and the fee for cats is $80.00. Adoption fees include all vaccinations (including rabies), worm treatment, and spay./neuter. Cats are Feline leukemia tested and puppies Parvo tested. ALL ANIMALS MUST BE SPAYED/NEUTERED PRIOR TO PLACEMENT.
