All of our adopted pets are eligible for a 30-days pre-paid ShelterCare Pet
Insurance policy. YOU MUST activate this coverage yourself by contacting
ShelterCare. Be sure to ask the staff for information.
Please note that the shelter
has numerous dogs and puppies not shown on the site. Stop by or call for details.
It is Shelter policy that we do not adopt out animals prior to being spay or
neutered. The animal has to be at least 3 months or older for this to happen.
Also it is AWS policy that the animals receive at least 2 shots (adult dogs) and
3 shots (puppies) prior to being adopted. This is for the animals health as well
as the health of animals that might reside at your house. We will not take names
on any puppies prior to their second shots being given. Any adult dogs that are
surrendered to AWS are held for 7 to 10 days depending on the medical services
that need to be completed.
