Received from Governor’s Community Partnership Program - Dec 2000 |
| The West Virginia State Legislature recently
approved a $10,000.00 grant to the AWS. This grant will help defray the costs
of repairing and renovating the shelter after it was struck by a car in August
of 1999. This is a state grant which is disseminated through the county commission.
Many thanks to our delegation in Charleston, Senator John Unger, Senator Herb
Snyder, Delegate John Doyle, Delegate Dale Manuel, the county commission and Jeff

| Grant Helps AWS Spay/Neuter Program
- Dec 2000 | | The AWS was
awarded a $1,000.00 grant through the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, Ruth
Hornbrook Memorial Fund Grant. This grant will enable the AWS to help senior citizens
with the spaying and neutering of their pets. Senior citizens in need can receive
a coupon for $15.00 for male cats, $20.00 for female cats, and $30.00 for dogs.
These coupons will help defray the cost of the spay or neuter. For more information,
please call the animal shelter at 725-0589. | | |
