Volunteer

Everyone Can Help!

Have you ever thought about being an AWS volunteer? We need your help! Volunteers are needed for:

walking and playing with the dogs and cats
transporting animals to the vets and to our local Adoption Outlet at Fins, Feathers and Friends in Charles Town
weekly pickups of pet supplies from Walmart in Charles Town (a small pickup truck is needed for this job)
daily care and cleaning for the animals at the shelter
fund raising and public relations activities (e.g., flower sales, yard sales, special events, grant writing, articles for newspapers and newsletters)
raffle ticket sales and special event ticket sales
posting special events flyers
general repairs, maintenance and improvements at the shelter
fostering kittens, cats, puppies, dogs
etc. etc. etc. etc.
