The Animal Welfare Society can only do the work we do for animals with the help of volunteers who donate their time, expertise and love every single day of the year. Whether it’s walking dogs or nurturing cats, helping with cleaning or landscape projects at the shelter, participating in fundraising events or adoption promotions, every volunteer contributes to our success.

Next Steps
For those who want to volunteer at our shelter, you will need to call prior to your first day so we can schedule a walk through with you. Please note – you must be at least 12 years old to volunteer. Anyone under the age of 18 must provide their parent’s or legal guardian’s written approval with the application. Volunteers younger than 15 years of age must have their parent accompany them to their subsequent volunteer experiences.
